The two-year Activate Fellowship provides funding, access to world-class research facilities, entrepreneurial mentorship, networking, and education. Activate’s fellowship model was originally developed at Cyclotron Road, our Berkeley location, in partnership with Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. 

Description

The Fellowship Manager will be responsible for the operational and program management of the Activate Fellowship at its Boston site. The Fellowship Manager will oversee local customization and execution of key fellowship elements including fellow selection, educational programming, and program operations. 

The Fellowship Manager will be hired as a full­ time employee of Activate with competitive salary and full benefits. The Fellowship Manager will report to the Boston Managing Director and work closely with the Activate Chief Fellowship Officer, MIT Lincoln Laboratory operations team, and Activate Fellows. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute the local fellow selection process, and local fellow onboarding, education, and exit

  • Design, develop and incorporate local educational programming elements that leverage Boston’s innovation ecosystem

  • Manage and help scale fellowship site operations including calendar, key meetings, information systems and workflows

  • Support evaluation of the fellowship site by collecting and analyzing data on the performance of the site, the fellows, and the fellow’s companies

  • Work with the Managing Director to cultivate a supportive and inclusive environment for the Boston team and fellows

  • Understands that innovation starts with people, not ideas

  • Is based in the Boston area
