Co-founder and CEO, Liminal Insights

Andrew Hsieh, an Activate Fellow alum (Cohort 2016), is co-founder and CEO of Liminal Insights, Inc., a company developing better data and analytics to transform battery manufacturing and accelerate the transition to electric vehicles. Hsieh is an expert in electrochemistry, materials science, and characterization. During his Ph.D., Hsieh developed novel anodes for Li-ion batteries. As a postdoctoral research associate at Princeton University, he led two ARPA-E-funded projects and co-invented Liminal's ultrasonic battery analysis technology. Hsieh holds a Ph.D. in chemical and materials engineering from Princeton University and a B.S. in chemical and biomolecular engineering from UCLA.
